“Bridge
the gap”
Starting high school can be a lot to take in, but Project Bridge is here to help make the transition smoother. With this program, you’ll get matched with a senior who’s been through it all and can offer guidance on things like managing stress, improving study habits, and preparing for future opportunities.
“Bridge even further”
We are extending the bridge even past our high school, to the horizon elementary and primaries. This will give us a wider scope of responsibilities and connect our school across all grade levels.
With this expansion comes a lot more promises and a lot more possibilities. As a high school student, you may find more opportunities to obtain community service hours and even more benefits that will be revealed to you as we get started.
What do we offer?
Once a week from 3-4 PM after school, underclassmen at our highschool may dive into a structured four-part curriculum covering essential topics and tips to help you navigate your high school experience.
To connect with even younger grade levels, we have even created a system for seniors to accomplish more community service hours at the middle school and primary buildings. This will show itself through being a teaching assistant and just aiding around the school, along with peer tutoring.
-
Entering High school comes with a plethora of new experiences and situations that are hard to come prepared for. With the help of seniors, through our program, we can touch on these subjects and prepare our underclassmen for how to handle them
-
Our curriculum and mentorship program includes tutoring, SAT tips, and general academic advice. As seniors who’ve recently taken the SAT, we have plenty of insights to share with our underclassmen.
-
Through our mentorship and weekly meetings, we will be working to get you all your first jobs if you need it or haven't gotten one already.
-
Each mentor will work with a single mentee, helping them and giving them personalized assistance throughout the entire semester, and answering any questions they might have in that time.
-
As a teacher, you can use this website to sign a form to request help from a high school student to help you with anything you ask for. Depending on what you need, we can match you with someone best suited to assist you!
-
Along with being able to assist teachers in class, it is also possible to request our help to bring people in for after school club and tutoring help as well.
