No, the purpose of project bridge isn't only just to create one to one connections, but to link the two buildings completely. You can ask any senior for help and it'll be easier since you already have a connection to the other building.

We will be planning the field trips as early as we can once we get our group situated. The field trips will mostly consist of tours and might change a lot depending on the funding that we get and can raise.

What if multiple people pick one mentor?
Everyone will be invited to the orientation. During the orientation our mentors will decide the 6 students who will start off the first group, and everyone else will be held in the second group. The mentors will decide based on the students submissions, preferences and their own discretion, while also following rules and guidelines set by our school. Since we are working with horizon, your grades, attendance and behavior will play a role.
-
What if I don't get selected by a mentor at all?
Since we can't promise everyone their own mentor yet, we'll still be posting all resources and things of that nature on our website and google classroom. Even those who don't have a mentor can still contact them, the only thing that they will miss is that they can't come to the weekly meetings. Remember that this is more than a club, it is a bridge that will connect our buildings.

What types of help can teachers request?
As a teacher, you can request for anything as long as it is possible to do within the school. This includes being a teacher assistant outside of the student’s school schedule, helping with after school clubs, tutoring, etc.
-
Why even include younger grades into project bridge?
We have decided to expand because this will create a more substantial base and a more connected student culture where students are linked across all grade levels. This will foster a sense of community in our school and give a little more continuity, giving the younger students a clearer picture of what to expect for their future.
